Our Core Values

With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we adhere to the following eight core values in all of our ministries:

Community - Excellence - Faith - Fun - Innovation - Personal - Leadership - Worth

  • Community

We emphasize the importance of establishing relationships and forming community among the students, adults, staff, and those we serve.

  • excellence

Nothing but our best is good enough. Integrity and intentionality are vital in everything we do.

  • faith

Jesus is everyone's need. We enthusiastically share the Good News of Jesus Christ. We model and encourage students to establish healthy spiritual practices.

  • fun

We create space to laugh and have fun together.

  • innovation

JP will always push the envelope with new ideas and methods that will serve to strengthen the ministry and impact the Kingdom in greater ways.

  • personal

We believe that ministry happens at a deep level when students experience program and worship in a small group setting.

  • leadership

We value and provide opportunities for students and staff to develop and use their unique gifts as servant leaders to further the ministry of the Jeremiah Project and the Kingdom of God.

  • worth

We are passionate about sharing the truth that God has a plan for student's lives and wants to use them right here, right now, to advance the Kingdom.

Statement of Faith:

Our work camps are open to all Christian organizations. Even though the Jeremiah Project finds it's roots in the United Methodist Church it is not a ministry of the United Methodist Church. All denominations are welcome!

Preamble: We are an inter-denominational ministry and all those who participate in the ongoing work and witness of the Jeremiah Project shall be in sympathy with its central purpose of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ. In order to qualify for office, members of the board of directors, members of the regular and volunteer staff shall subscribe to the following articles of faith:

Article I: We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior Article II: We believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father Almighty. From there he will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the fellowship of believers, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.

Article III: We believe the Apostle’s Creed and the Bible contain all the critical elements sufficient for an understanding of the Christian Faith.

Article IV: Our foundational scripture is Jeremiah 1:7
