Jeremiah Project Staff

Each year over 100 JP staff members come together to run our summer camps!  These JP Staffers and Volunteers come from all over the East Coast to serve in ministry with the Jeremiah Project.  Our staff members who are called and committed to running JP throughout the year are our Executive Director and Project Assistant.

  • Todd Freneaux: Executive Director

Todd is the co-founder and the Executive Director for the Jeremiah Project. He served in the local church ministry for 10 years before God gave him the vision to begin the Jeremiah Project in 1997. He, along with youth leaders Rev. Abi Foerster and Barbara Russell, created what continues today as one of the premier middle school-focused mission organizations. Although Todd is passionate about - and committed to - ministering to middle school students, Todd's first passion is being a Godly husband and a dedicated & loving father to three wonderful girls. Todd and his family live in Williamsburg, VA and worship at New Town UMC.

  • Kristie McCallum: Project Assistant

Kristie became connected with The Jeremiah Project during her freshman year in college. What was assumed to be a one-time deal, somehow turned into an 11 year passion for the Jeremiah Project. Kristie served many years as a JP Staff member and then later as a JP Camp Director. It was during one of those camp weeks that Kristie met her future husband, who one year later proposed during a week of camp! A few years down the road and Kristie "retired" from her active roles of serving on staff with JP to take on her most treasured and important role yet-- being a mom! It wasn't until Kristie received a call out of the blue from Todd that she became reconnected with JP in a new and exciting role. After serving at Virginia Tech for 7 years Kristie left her "desk job" for a whole new experience and adventure with The Jeremiah Project. Kristie lives in Blacksburg Virginia with her husband Darryl, her son Grayson and newest family member Emery Lynn.

  • Drew Ensz: Sr. High Ministry Consultant

Drew is the Director of Ministry for Arise Campus Ministry at George Mason University.  Previous to his call to lead the ministry at GMU, Drew has worked with teenagers and young adults for over a decade.  He loves seeing teenagers and young adults creatively follow their call to have a relationship with Jesus and grow in their faith.  Drew has many years of service with JP, both as a youth pastor and as a speaker at camp.  He has most recently served as a coach for the LEAD Four:Twelve experience.  In his downtime he enjoys movies, reading and spending time with friends and family.  Drew especially enjoys spending time with his wife Catie and their two wonderful boys, Josiah and Benjamin.

  • Michelle Chassaing: Louisiana project coordinator

Michelle has been volunteering with The Jeremiah Project as a staff member and Worship Leader since 2006 and is delighted to be able to bring this unique mission opportunity to her home state, Louisiana. Michelle’s passion for service and mission work began with middle school mission trips with her home church, Blackwater United Methodist Church. After graduating high school, she was recruited to join the Jeremiah Project as a volunteer staff member. Following her love for the arts and serving students, Michelle has been a choir, theatre, and art teacher since 2011. Taking on work for the Jeremiah Project to further serve God’s Kingdom is a dream come true! Beyond teaching and the Jeremiah Project, Michelle serves as a worship leader for Blackwater UMC. She lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with her husband Amos.
